Ultrasound examinations are performed by specialists experienced in injury diagnosis and muscular-skeletal and vascular diseases, using a modern Toshiba ultrasound apparatus with combination of linear and convex probes /linear 3D and 4D volumetric option and 5-18 MHz probes to study the muscles and tendons.

The highest standard of examinations is guaranteed by the collaboration between the technicians and the directing doctors. Our system makes it possible to quickly compare results with those stored electronically from other patients’ examinations and to even access Ultrasound photographs taken during surgery.

In the ultrasound studio we specialize in the examination of all sinews, muscles and joints, including children’s hip joints after Graf. We also perform ultrasound 2D and Doppler method examinations of arteries and veins. Naturally, we also carry out so-called basic ultrasound examinations, such as those of the abdominal cavity, thyroid gland, breast and nuclei.

 All invasive procedures, such as medication or contrast injections, evacuation of haematomas and material for microscopic and bacteriological examinations, and the removal of synovial fluid for microscopic evaluation with respect to the presence of crystals (e.g. uric acid), are performed under ultrasound control. Full cooperation with all other Diagnostic Imaging Centre studios provides means that the highest possible level of technical tools are at our disposal.
